3 days / 2 nights
Friday: Aswan-Kom Ombo – El Silsila
Transfer to the dahabieh, boarding on Armonia for breakfast.
Navigating to Gebel El Silsila, a great site. The excellence of its sandstone and the nearby river made of it a selected career operated in open
air. We can still observe the front sizes of stairs often reaching 20 meters in height.
The sandstone was used to erect the temples of Thebes, Denderah, Esna, Edfou and Kom Ombo.
Saturday: El Silsila – El Kaab – Esna
After breakfast, visit to the temple of Horemheb. The pits were again operated in 1904 for the construction of Esna dam. The
façade with four pillars of the speos (a temple built on the rock) is bordered by the stelae-chapels dedicating the offers of the river to
pharaohs Seti 1st, Ramses II, Merenptha and Ramses III (containing a hymn to the Nile).
Navigating towards El Kaab, surrounded by a mud brick enclosure during periods 747-332 BC, the town might have been founded from the Neolithic
period. Continuation to Esna.
Sunday: Esna-Luxor
Landing after breakfast. Transfer to Luxor.
